In short
mosaicOne supports backward traceability for raw material and bought-out lots today. The batch number recorded on the goods receipt is carried through quality inspection into inventory. From that batch number, the trace view shows the purchase order and supplier, the goods receipt, the quality result with accepted and rejected quantity, the stores location with on-hand quantity, and the stock movements for the lot. With the production module, the same chain extends forward into production, finished goods and dispatch.

The chain is not rebuilt after the fact. Each record is created from the one before it — the GRN from the PO, the quality result from the GRN line, the stock from the quality result — so the links exist from the moment the material arrives.

Lot labels
Any batch in stock can be printed as a QR code or a Code 128 barcode on A4 sticker sheets — in small, medium or large sizes, for example 20 medium QR labels or 30 medium barcode labels per page — and stuck on the bag, coil, drum or pallet.
Scanning the QR code with a phone camera opens the lot’s page: material, batch, GRN, receipt date, QA number and date, received quantity, supplier and purchase order, as recorded when the label was printed. Signing in shows live quantity and the full trace. A handheld barcode scanner can read the Code 128 label straight into the trace search.
What comes next
Today the trace runs from supplier to stores. As the production module is built, the same chain extends forward — from a raw material lot into production orders, finished goods and dispatch.
