For Indian MSMEs

For growing factories that have outgrown Excel, WhatsApp and registers

Most Indian MSMEs run purchasing, receiving, quality and stores on a mix of spreadsheets, chat approvals and paper. It works — until the plant grows. mosaicOne gives those handoffs one connected record, built around how a small plant team actually divides the work.

The operational reality

How the work actually moves in many plants

None of this is a failure of the team. Excel, WhatsApp and registers are fast, familiar and free, and they are how most factories got to where they are. The trouble starts when volume, suppliers and people grow, and the information about one lot of material ends up in six different places.

  • Material requirementA phone call, an indent register or a WhatsApp message
  • ApprovalA thumbs-up in a WhatsApp group, or a verbal OK
  • Purchase orderAn Excel sheet on the buyer’s computer, emailed as PDF
  • Goods receiptThe gate or stores inward register
  • Quality remarksA paper inspection report or a note on the challan
  • StockA stock sheet updated at the end of the day — or week

What it costs as the plant grows

Material moves. Information doesn’t.

When records are scattered, people spend their day chasing information instead of running the operation.

  • Tracing a batch means rebuilding its history from bills, registers and memory
  • The same quantities are typed again at every step
  • Nobody is sure who approved a purchase, or at what price
  • Decisions wait for the one person who knows where the record is
  • Material that arrived but is not yet inspected looks available to production
  • Purchase commitments and production requirements are hard to connect
  • Information is lost between purchase, stores, quality and production

What changes

The same work, kept on one connected record

mosaicOne does not ask the plant to invent a new process. Each step the team already does gets a record that links to the one before it.

Getting started

A practical way to start

You do not need to switch everything on one day. Most factories start with the procurement-to-stock flow and add steps as the team gets comfortable. Our guide on moving factory operations from Excel to software covers the sequence in detail.

  1. Set up masters

Suppliers, materials, plants, warehouses, bins and company details.

  2. Requisitions and POs

Move requests and approvals off chat and Excel first.

  3. Receiving and QA

Record GRNs against deliveries and inspect every lot.

  4. Stock, labels and trace

Label lots and trace any batch from its number.

Built for India

Designed around Indian manufacturing

mosaicOne is built for Indian factories first. Purchase orders are GST-aware and distinguish inter-state from intra-state supply. Company identity, registered address and document defaults are set once for the plant. And the team is reachable where Indian businesses already talk — on WhatsApp.

What it is not, yet

Clear about scope

  • Not accounting software — keep Tally for your books; integration is on the roadmap.
  • HR, payroll and CRM are future scope, not available today.
  • Production is in development, not live yet.

Questions

mosaicOne for MSMEs: frequently asked questions

Is mosaicOne suitable for small manufacturing companies?

mosaicOne is built around Indian MSMEs and growing factories: plants where a small team handles purchase, stores, receiving and quality, and where approvals and records currently move through Excel, WhatsApp and paper registers.

Do we need to replace all our processes at once?

No. Most factories start with the procurement-to-stock flow: masters for suppliers and materials, then requisitions and purchase orders, then receiving, QA and inventory. The demo covers how your current process maps to that sequence.

Does mosaicOne replace Tally or our accounting software?

No. mosaicOne does not do accounting. It manages the operational records around material. Tally and accounting integration is on the roadmap.

Does mosaicOne work for Indian purchasing requirements such as GST?

Purchase orders are GST-aware and distinguish inter-state from intra-state supply. Company identity, registered address and document defaults are configured once for the plant.

Is there a public price list?

Not on this website yet. To discuss pricing for your factory, book a demo or message the team on WhatsApp.
